shaded area where the vines grow.
There is also a large paddling pool which can be filled and two umbrellas
to shade you from the sun, ideal for days when you don't want to travel to
the beach or for lazy evenings cooling off after sizzling on the beach.

Bird watching: Storks nests can be viewed from the house. Over summer
watch as the storks make their family, feed them and teach their children
how to fly. Swallows nest in the house eaves with other birds feed on the
lush vegetation.

Slow Down: The village also takes you back in time, you can watch as the
goats are taken up into the hills in the morning and returned in the
evening. Horses and live stock roam free in the village. The local people
take an active interest in all newcomers and welcome them into the
village.

Responsible Tourism: For a guilt free holiday look no further. The
property is not managed by a distant property management agency but the
neighbours in the village. They maintain the upkeep of the house and call
in local crafts men in should work need to be done. Home cooking can be
done on request by Maria, a neighbour, or maybe buy some of her
handicrafts. Locally produced honey, rakia, jam and sauces can be
purchased in the village.

Our house is situated in a mountain village about fifteen minutes by car
from the small friendly town, Kas (near Kalkan). It is a
cosy old-fashioned stone house built on the ruins of an antique Lycian
building. The cottage is beautifully situated in a scenic, historical and
peaceful area close to the ancient walking route �Lycian Road�, and it is
an ideal place for outdoor life, rest and absorption. The house can sleep
four and it is cosily decorated in a mix of oriental and vintage country
style. The ground floor contains a TV room with two beds, a spacious
kitchen-dining room and a big bathroom. The first floor contains a large
living room with a stove, a balcony and a small, light tea room with a
view of the mountains and the surrounding area.
In addition, the house has a garden and a terrace with a fireplace.

The house is equipped with a satellite dish, washing machine, telephone
and stereo set.

Kas is situated a two to three hour car ride from the airports in Dalaman

Our beautiful villa is approx 15 miles from Disney on Southern Dunes
prestigious Golf & Country Club which is a gated community.

Built on the golf course this is an ideal location; close enough to feel
the Disney magic but far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle. The
villa is ideally situated when visiting the theme parks, site seeing
around Florida or generally relaxing by our private, south facing pool.
For those in your party who play golf, Southern Dunes is one of the top
PGA golf courses in Florida so you can even combine your favourite sport
with your family holiday.

As the villa is very spacious its ideal for one or two families sharing.

Within Southern Dunes Golf & Country Club grounds you will find a
clubhouse, restaurant, community swimming pool, fitness gym, childrens
park, tennis courts and small lake. Just outside the main entrance gates
there�s a large Walmart store which is open 24 hours a day. There are
numerous restaurants within a few minutes drive or several directly
opposite Southern Dunes if you want to leave the car at the villa.

ABOUT THE VILLA

Living Area

The living area has ample seating space; in December 2004 we purchased new
3 and 2 seater sofas. Lovely large table lamps give a warm, homely effect
and matching coffee table adds to the design. Cable TV is installed for
your viewing along with a DVD player (Blockbuster is approx 5 minutes
away) and HIFI system again all purchased new in December 2004.

Kitchen Area

The kitchen area has all the usual utilities including cooker, American
fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher, waste disposal, electric kettle,
coffee maker, low fat grill (like George Foreman) blender, toaster etc.
There are also a few board games in the kitchen cupboard to keep the
children amused.
Adjacent to the kitchen is the smaller dining table that seats four people
and is fully laid with placemats, napkins and glasses.

Dining Area

To the side of the living area is a larger dining table which seats six
people comfortably when opened out. Again this is fully laid with
placemats, napkins and glasses.

Ensuite King Size Master Bedroom

The master bedroom has a king size bed and is ensuite. The walk in
wardrobe has ample storage along with the large dressing table with
mirror; cable TV and phone are also installed for homely comforts. Patio
doors open out onto the pool area.

Queen Size Bedroom

This room has a queen size bed and is ideal for families who are sharing
the accommodation.

Two Twin Rooms

There are two twin rooms; both have built in wardrobes and chests of
drawers. One of the twin rooms has a radio/CD player to keep the younger
guests amused.
Overall the bedrooms cater for eight people though a double folding bed
can be made available if needed as our Florida State licence does cover us
for up to 10 people.

The Pool Area

The villa has a beautiful south facing private pool, which catches the
Florida sun all day round. Patio furniture includes table, chairs and
loungers.

Utility Room

The utility room has a washer, dryer, hoover, iron and ironing board,
generally a home from home.

Phone Calls

Local phone calls are free and you�re also able to call International once
you�ve registered your credit card details via the phone. Information on
setting up a phone account is available in the villa. Costs will be
charged directly to your card and the service is disabled on your
departure date.

A stunning train journey

Andalucia Express: Algeciras � Ronda
One of Europe�s great short rail journeys, this 50-mile stretch through
the Ronda mountains was built from 1890-1892 by the British so that their
officers, and passengers on cruise ships bound for the east, could escape
the heat of Gibraltar by heading upwards. There are four trains each way
per day. Ronda is a 32 minute ride and the price is 2 Euros! It was a
British engineer named Henderson who was responsible for the construction
of the Ronda-Algeciras line. The train that plied this route came to be
known as the Smugglers Express. It went so slowly that contraband butter,
cocoa and tobacco from Gibraltar could be sold from the train windows!
The little horseshoe of houses is virtually next to the River Guadiaro.
The village - Jimera de L�bar -is in a valley surrounded by a nature
reserve and is a great favourite with birdwatchers. Numerous walkers and
birdwatdhers' websites mention how excellent the restaurant near the
station is - it is a few steps from our door. There are a number of
bars/restaurants five minutes drive away in Cortes, and a particularly
lovely well-known restaurant Molino del Santo, fifteen minutes drive away
at Benaoj�n.
From May/June until mid-September there is even a little makeshift bar on
the river bank run by our Spanish friend Mari-Angeles.
Inside - tiled floors throughout. The living room has dining table, a
sofa and armchairs Hi-Fi and working open fireplace; beyond there is a
separate fully fitted kitchen. The back door opens from here on to the
tiny rear patio - just room for the four chairs and small table.
Upstairs are two bedrooms � one double, one twin. There is also air
conditioning!
The outdoor space is just the tiny patio at the rear. There is also the
communal lawn outside front door which is nice to sit out on.

Three minutes drive away is the newly constructed municipal outdoor
swimming pool in a breathtaking setting a little higher up the valley.
Open only June to early Sept.
Gaucin and Ronda (both on the train line moments from your front door) are
each just under thirty minutes drive. There are lots of quiet white
villages around and also well-marked walks.
The Griffon Vulture is one of the wildlife spectacles in the area. The
coast is about one hour by car. Or take the train down to Algeciras -
about 5 Euros each way(!) and catch a boat to Africa.

Smart, modern studio (20 sqm) located in le Mummery apartment building,
right in the heart of Chamonix. The flat is fitted out with space-saving
pine and light wood furnishings and laminated wood floor. The studio
sleeps up to 4 people with a double mattress on the pine mezzanine unit
and a double sofa bed underneath.

The picture window looks out on to the breathtaking vista of Aiguille du
Midi and Mont Blanc - particularly stunning at sunset.

The kitchenette is equipped for self-catering with electric 2-ring hob,
separate microwave-grill, electric kettle and fridge and all the necessary
utensils, pots & pans, cutlery, crockery etc. The space-saving "butterfly"
dining set seats 4 people.

There is a stereo (CD-radio) which you are welcome to use. The bathroom is
fully tiled and has bath with shower and toilet. A private ski locker is
located in the basement (level 1 in the lift).

About the location (which is superb): it's just a few steps away from the
old town with all its shops, bars, restaurants, the town square, Post
Office, Tourist Office, banks and of course the ski bus stops that take
you to all the ski areas in the Chamonix Valley. The lifts at the bottom
of le Brevent ski area can be reached on foot within 15 minutes and when
there is snow at the bottom, you can almost ski to the back door.

There is ample parking (on street meters as well as large car parks)
within 3-5 minutes walk...that's if you can't find a space right outside.

Added bonus: a well-known and very popular local patisserie is located on
the ground floor of the building - you can pop out for your crossaints in
your pyjamas!

Chamonix is not just for skiing - it is one of the best location in the
Alps for activities and leisure pursuits. The list of things you can do is
endless - both in summer and winter.

Last but by no means least - don't underestimate the length of the ski
season in Chamonix - its one of the longest in the world. Last year we
were still skiing in the middle of May!! Lifts usually open first weekend
of December and close on second Sunday in May (with extension of 1-2
weekends if there is eno
