WINTER HOUSE APARTMENTS are in an elevated position, away from the busy
roads, within 5 minutes walk of the beautiful, long golden stretch of
beach known as Lighthouse Beach and set amid lush, green, tropical
surroundings with views over the tops of the palm trees.

These modern, bright rooms have twin or double beds sleeping 2 adults and
en-suite shower rooms with hot & cold water, ceiling fans to keep you
cool, a small kitchen area with a refrigerator and tea making facilities,
some crockery supplied.
We have a corner seating arrangement providing additional sleeping for 2
children with storage space under.
All windows with mosquito screens and there are good sized private
balconies with attractive bamboo furniture for total relaxation.

Breakfast is included, taken in the TREETOPS RESTAURANT at THE SAGARA
BEACH RESORT nearby .
All facilities at the Sagara Beach Resort are available to our guests
including free use of the swimming pool and sun loungers. Safety deposit
boxes, private laundry, internet use, international telephone dialling,
tours arranged at local rates plus 10% discount off meals taken in the
rooftop restaurant where there is a display of Kathakali dancing and
dinner arranged every 2 weeks in the high season.

Kovalam is an internationally re-knowned beach resort famous for it's
colourful Keralan charm, traditional fishing community and beautiful
beaches. It is divided into five bays, creating superb shores with
Lighthouse Beach at the southern end, the most popular. With a stunning
backdrop of tropical palm trees and an inviting blue sea, a truly
breathtaking combination.
A stay in Kovalam is a relaxing mixture of sun, sea and delicious food. So
be sure to pack a few good books. A torch is advisable for your evening
stroll to the beach.

Kerala - meaning The Land of the Coconut and formally known as The Malabar
Coast is a mixture of adventure and relaxation. Palm fringed backwaters,
lush tropical forests, misc-clad hill stations, colourful festivals,
wildlife sancturies and idyllic beaches provide a gentle backdrop for
enjoying ancient Ayurvedic treatments ans swaying elephant rides. Truly
exotic, it's easy to see why National Geographic voted this Indian state
one of it's 10 "Paradise Found" destinations.

Food - dining in Kerala is a beautiful, ethnic and spicy experience. With
rice paddies, coconut groves and spice plantations in abundance. Menus
feature international dishes but are normally filled with delicious
seafood, curries and masalas. As a speciallity traditional meals are
served on leaves from one of Kerala's 22 variety of banana.

Weather - all year round temperatures. Average maximum - 31 degrees C with
light breezes.
Language - malayalam but English widely spoken.
Currency - Indian rupee - money exchanges easily available throughout
resort.
